Pugmarks is a Chrome web extension which allows you to get in-context references and complementary reading suggestions to any web page you are viewing. Pugmarks leverages your network of Twitter, LinkedIN and an optional set of RSS feeds (which you must provide in OPML format) to filter and select the most relevant reading resources that it will suggest to you. When you are on any web page you can click the Pugmarks footprint icon on the Chrome browser extension bar and a strip of relevant information is displayed over the top (or bottom) of your screen. The extension can be paused and the user has the option to select whether to see the Pugmarks bar appear on top or on the bottom of his browser screen. StartMe is an excellent free start page builder which allows anyone to create public (or private) start pages containing bookmarks, links and RSS feeds, organized in groups and easily editable. StartMe creates clutter-free, well designed and highly scannable editable start pages where you can easily add, edit, move around and re-order and group your favorite links and bookmarks in any way you want. You can create as many start pages as you want and you can choose to start either from a pre-populated links and feeds page that can be edited and customized or completely from scratch. Groups and individual items (links and RSS feeds) can be easily edited and dragged around easily. It is possible to decide how many news stories appear in a feed list and you can even switch on a "river of news" option that will combine chronologically all the news of a list of feeds. It is also possible to integrate a search engine for each start page that will search using your search engine of choice. StartMe supports OPML allowing full export and import functions with any bookmark collection or RSS feeds list. Extension for Firefox and Google Chrome are available. My comment: I can't recommend this tool enough. Easy, fast, effective and elegant. This article is interesting. I see a lot of "pros" in this, it lists all the benefits you have with using this site. You can easily listen to the newest music, easily dowload you're favorite songs to any playlist of you're choice. As well as have it remember you're favorite songs, or most listened to, so you dont have to search for them the next time. It obviously does not list the "cons" of this specific site, but i would think some of the "cons" would be competition. There are so many sites like this coming out with the same features , that the only "cons" really would be keeping up with other competition.

Since graduating from library school, I’ve fielded occasional questions about archiving “as a professional in the field.” Then comes the second question, “So, what kind of archive do you work in?” But I don’t. Although I was trained as an archivist and care deeply about archives, I’ve been an editor or a content strategist on most of my recent projects. And though I sympathize with archivists’ anxiety about their continuing relevance, I’m also excited for them, as I am for anyone who has content worth sharing

I guess you can never have enough curating, in this digital age anything that can keep you up to date and help visibility is worth a try. I like the way the simplify everything. I'm not sure but even with all this info I still may feel like I'm missing something and go to the individual sites anyway. But to see what the landscape looks like in a quick view Qwant is pretty cool.

According to the site, they have the ability to strip the ads off the videos you put on your lists. Makes me wonder how YouTube and Vimeo will react once they realize they aren't getting ad-views. And if there are no ad-views, how the makers will feel about the loss of revenue?

Grazie a un motore di ricerca è semplice trovere clip su Uoytube e Vimeo e aggiungerle a una delle nsotre collezioni. Grazie a un bookmarklet è anche possibile aggiungere immediatamente contenuti video che troviamo durante la navigazione.
Le collezioni video realizzate possono essere facilmente condivise nei principali social network o incorporate.
Molte facile da utilizzare, Huzzaz è un utile strumento per scoprire video e per la video curation
