Wow, this is eye opening. It makes me think twice about where I want my students to conduct research. Moving forward, I will have vetted a few sites for them to conduct research to ensure valuable content for them to view and read. For example, when researching to predict weather patterns students will use weather.com.

My contention has been that banning digital devices in school ignores the powerful computer many students carry every day. They need to learn the academic uses for that phone they use to text and Instagram!
