Google's Chairman is not the first one to make the connexion between the future of publishing and tablets but he also adds an insightful point for content curators and editors : the long form is gone and we're not going back to it, he believes. This trend is therefore not just a change of technology platform but also a change of format and reading habits where the ability to quickly add context in a short form will be key.

Google's Chairman is not the first one to make the connexion between the future of publishing and tablets and we can wonder where we are on this trend. While the media have been quick to see the tablets save them, it was were not even mentioned as a posible usage in Steve Jobs' iPad keynote launch. And today, we keep seeing reports of disappointment on this category. Long time to cross the chasm? |
