GetResponse is better known for their email marketing solution, which has expanded into an all-in-one marketing platform for small businesses. The platform includes webinar integration, lead scoring, landing page creation and testing, and marketing automation.

Infusionsoft is an integrated customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing automation solution focused on lead capture. It also has integrated email marketing.

Whereas Infusionsoft has a CRM built in and can also integrate with Salesforce and other CRMs, GetResponse does not. However, it does support integration with twenty common CRMs including Salesforce.

Overall, GetResponse and AWeber both offer powerful email marketing software. It’s hard to decide a clear winner if you look at email capabilities alone.

If your team is looking to significantly automate and round out your marketing capabilities, GetResponse is the better choice because it offers so many options. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a simple email solution that helps you to grow and maintain your lists without a lot of distractions, AWeber will more than suffice.

Apples and Oranges. AWeber vs. MailChimp is more appropriate. GetResponse is the best MA value out there today.

Email marketing company GetResponse officially launched its new automation solution on Thursday after three months of Beta testing.

During its Beta testing period from July to September, GetResponse says more than 13,000 campaigns were built by small- to medium-sized businesses on the platform and that more than six million emails were sent via the automated solution.

GetResponse Marketing Automation allows marketers to take advantage of automated workflows with an easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface. It requires no HTML or coding skills and is designed as a self-service flow chart -- similar to Campaign Monitor’s DIY marketing automation solution launched in August.

Today, GetResponse — the email marketing platform that has attracted 350,000 customers — has announced its marketing automation platform, and it is squarely focused on the SMB marketplace.

“SMB marketing automation has seen low market penetration for two simple reasons,” Daniel Brzezinski, CMO and VP of Marketing and Product Development at GetResponse, told me. “The first is price. SMB marketing budgets are comparatively small. Most automation tools, on the other hand, are expensive, forcing long-term contract commitments. The second challenge has been sheer ease-of-use. Unlike enterprise businesses, most SMBs don’t have extensive IT expertise in-house.”

I was reviewing GetResponse over the weekend, and this really is the first MAP that meets the needs of the SMB without sacrificing functionality.

Due to the realities of today’s marketing environment — namely, content overload, multiple platforms and non-linear sales funnels — it’s no question that marketing automation tools can be incredibly helpful to modern-day businesses. By managing and streamlining data across multiple channels, businesses can keep their marketing strategies organized and running efficiently.

Seventy-one percent of companies are currently using marketing automation, while another 23 percent are not currently using it but plan to in the near future, according to Ascend2.

While automation platforms help enterprises meet their goals — such as increased lead generation, sales revenue and customer engagement — it’s still unclear which tool wins within the expanding automation industry. Although Marketo and HubSpot are highly praised and have been longtime players in the market, a newer platform in the space from GetResponse might be an excellent choice as well.

GetResponse, the Wilmington, Delaware-based email marketing platform, this week announced the launch of its first marketing automation solution. GetResponse Marketing Automation is intended to offer non-tech savvy marketers a simple, scalable interface to create sophisticated customer journeys.

A long-established (since 1998) player in the email marketing space, GetResponse offers a drag-and-drop email creation tool, email automation, smart list import, and associated analytics. The cloud-based MA proffer will allow users to create campaigns based on "if...then" logic, trigging automated actions on customers' conditions and actions. Tagging and scoring customers based on behavior contributes to audience profiles. The interface features a visual workflow builder.

Absolutely beyond me why 3rd party ESPs do not provide this functionality with auto-responders. Gives them an immediate low-cost presence in the marketing automation market.
