Don’t Blog Unless You Use These 11 Tools - QuickSprout

Don’t Blog Unless You Use These 11 Tools - QuickSprout | The MarTech Digest | Scoop.it

Digest...

Tool #1: Buzzsumo: Coming up with topics to write about isn’t easy. Luckily, Buzzsumo helps with the task.

Tool #2: Quick Sprout: Did you know there is a content marketing tool on Quick Sprout? Best of all, it’s free.

To start, simply enter your URL or your competitor’s URL here.

Tool #3: Open Site Explorer: Do you want more search traffic? Of course, you do. Open Site Explorer is a useful tool because it sorts all the URLs within a domain by backlinks.

Tool #4: Emails: You can use tools like Bounce Exchange and OptinMonster to create your own opt-ins. Once you have a list, you can then email your subscribers through a service provider such as GetResponseMailChimp, or Aweber.

Tool #5: Yoast SEO: Luckily for you, SEO is pretty easy when you have a WordPress blog. All you have to do is install this plugin and follow the instructions.

Tool #6: W3 Total Cache: By using W3 Total Cache, you can optimize your blog’s code with a few clicks of a button. Just make sure you follow these instructions.

Tool #7: Google Analytics

Tool #8: Crazy Egg: Have you wondered how many people actually read your blog posts? With Quick Sprout, it used to be 40%…until I started using Crazy Egg.

Tool #9: Hello Bar: From getting people to give you their email addresses to gaining more social media followers or bringing more awareness to your brand or a specific message… the possibilities are endless. Through the use of Hello Bar, you can achieve all of the above goals plus more.

Tool #10: Qualaroo: Do you want to avoid writer’s block? Qualaroo is a great tool to help you generate ideas.

Tool #11: Simply Measured: Simply Measured has a handful of tools, and my favorite ones are their free tools.

5 Tools That Will Improve Your Results from Blogging | Marketing Technology Blog

5 Tools That Will Improve Your Results from Blogging | Marketing Technology Blog | The MarTech Digest | Scoop.it

Digest...

1.  Create Your Imagery Using Canva

Canva is graphic design tool that enables the most inexperienced and uncreative people to produce images without the need for graphic design skills.

2. Research Your Competitors Using SEMRush

Using SEMRush you can enter in your competitors website address and view a list of the top keywords they currently rank for on Google.  You can see the keywords, estimated searches for those keywords and much more.

3. Increase the Conversion Rate for Email Subscriptions using Exit Intent Popup

OptinMonster is a very useful WordPress tool that supports a popup with exit intent.  An alternative to OptinMonster is Sumome which is not only available on WordPress but can also be used on other platforms.

4. Implement Good Sharing Options

Flare allows you to include vertical and horizontal sharing bars on your posts.  While you scroll down through the post the sharing icons remain visible at all times.  Recently they added better analytics onto the platform so now you can see which posts get the most shares compared to visits. who are the key influencers sharing your posts, and much more.

5. Share Your Older Content through Buffer

These are the perfect types of posts to prepare and schedule in advance and Buffer is a great tool to manage this. First you define the times you want to post updates to your social channels (Facebook, Twitter) and then you simply add posts to your queue ready to be shared at the next available time slot.  A complementary tool to Buffer isBulkbuffer which enables you to prepare all your posts in a spreadsheet and then import them to Buffer so they are automatically added to the queue.

#6: Internet Archive

Are you audio blogging or podcasting? If the sizes of your audio files exceed what you can store on Podomatic or Soundcloud without paying an additional monthly fee, I recommend Internet Archive.

#7: Namechk

Before you launch any online presence for your business, make sure all social media accounts related to your name are available. That’s where Namechk.com comes in.

Easel.ly has a lot of templates you can start with and each one is simple to modify. Just drag and drop the elements, add your text, and change the colors.

1. Examiner

Examiner only allows people who create high quality content to publish on the site. The topics are endless, ranging from social media and paintball to auto repair to tax advice. It reads like an online magazine, and community members update it constantly.

2. Scoop.It

Scoop. It is a website that combines social media with a news reader/aggregator. Users are able to create topics on anything they are interested in and "scoop" articles to a news feed.

3. Sulia

Sulia is a website that prioritizes topics, and then aggregates stories into your news feed.

4. RebelMouse

Rebel Mouse is an interesting website with a lot of opportunity to become even better. Currently, the site allows you a lot of autonomy when posting articles, but the downside to that freedom is that the site's functionality can be finicky.

5. Bundlr

Bundlr is another aggregation site. What sets this website apart is its simple, clean design.

6. Prismatic

Prismatic is a content curation website with two basic functionalities: it is both an article aggregator and a content-sharing platform. Upon setting up your account, you are prompted to select topics you are interested in. The topics are broad, and sometimes even niche.

7. Kippt

Kippt is a great content curation tool that is simple in design and allows your connections to clearly see articles you've listed.

8. Spundge

Spundge has a clean look, but can be a bit complicated to use at first. After creating a notebook, you can write stories and save them to that notebook, or simply leave them as stories.

9. Allvoices

10. BagTheWeb

BagTheWeb is a website that you can use to organize content. Users organize content into bags, and can make these bags public or private.

11. Paper. li

Paper.li is a content aggregation and curation platform. You can add articles and stories to your feed via two methods: You can import your social media news feeds directly to your paper, or you can place a bookmarklet on your browser's tool bar to add interesting articles to your paper when you come across them on the Internet.
