Have you noticed recently that Google has been taking over the world? It is mind blowing how Google has superseded it's cyber presence. Has it become a technological God? Perhaps recently isn’t even the right word for it, because it has been over a decade since the search engine giant has started to develop outside the search box. So how exactly is Google, which began in a garage, taking over our lives?

Only 32 million data records were stolen, far less than in recent hacks of Adobe, eBay, and the US military.

Your everyday devices, particularly smartphones, betray aspects of your privacy in many ways, not the least of which is transmitting location information that law enforcement, among others, has regularly used in the pursuit of suspects.

Your digital footprint is the information that you leave behind when you are surfing on the web. You leave this footprint behind when you visit websites, download files, talk to people, check your email, or search information on Google, Bing, Yahoo and any other search engine.

Under a cloud passport, a traveller's identity and biometrics data would be stored in a cloud, so passengers would no longer need to carry their passports and risk having them lost or stolen. DFAT says 38,718 passports were registered as lost or stolen in 2014-15, consistent with the 38,689 reported missing the previous year.

In order to determine that I was attempting to log in from an "unusual" location, Twitter must be keeping a history of my previous IP addresses to compare against. This type of security feature is not new, Facebook has been doing this sort of thing for years already. But I've not yet seen it from Twitter. (A few years ago, Twitter seemed to be actively against such an idea.) Unlike Facebook, I don't see anyplace from which I can download my own connection history. Previous IP addresses used are available to those who download a Facebook archive. But IP address information isn't in the Twitter archive that I downloaded today.

So then the questions I now have for Twitter is this: for how long have my connections been logged and tracked? And when will a copy of the data be available to me?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is aware we live in a connected world. Americans wear Fitbits, have Nest thermostats, use automated light systems from companies like Belkin and Philips, even have televisions that predict what they want to watch. But in a new report, the FTC has a warning: Existing privacy regulations don’t really cover the Internet of Things, and the Commission doesn’t really trust device manufacturers to do the right thing—or even be aware of the risks of collecting all that data.

In a staff report issued this week, the FTC warned that makers of connected health, home, and transportation devices could potentially leave their users vulnerable to data hacks. Most of all, the FTC is concerned that private information will be used to jack up users' insurance rates or deny them access to loans.

Social Media is about sharing, right!? That’s WHAT it is mostly, BUT there are the HIDDEN commercial intents which MOST people don’t see (OUR Privacy is sold and OUR friends one too…) and there isALSO OUR responsibility about it WHEN WE share, WE will discuss in detail here…

First of ALL, there isn’t ANYTHING for FREE in this world, even the death costs the life and a lot of money for the funerals ;)

SO… Let us analyse WHY WE get Social Media and other services on the internet for “FREE“. BTW: there isn’t anything for FREE, WE pay with OUR information which the companies are gathering!
