Six ways to create great content in just 15 minutes a day

Six ways to create great content in just 15 minutes a day | Daily Magazine | Scoop.it
Content marketing can be an extremely complicated, time-consuming, and expensive proposition! So I came up with content options for the time-starved!

Let’s face it. Content development can be a complicated, time-consuming, and expensive proposition! So I started thinking about this in the context of my friends and small business customers who simply can’t afford that kind of effort. It led to this idea: micro-content, or creating small bits of marketing content when you don’t have time to blog, create videos or spend all day on Facebook.

Let’s examine ideas about using micro-content for your social media strategy, assuming you are testing the water and only have 15 minutes a day to devote to this activity. Hey, I’m up for a challenge!

Preparation

Like any marketing initiative, you must have a firm idea of your strategy, selling points, and target audience...

7 Ways to Be a Successful Social Marketer

7 Ways to Be a Successful Social Marketer | Daily Magazine | Scoop.it

Social marketing is an advertising art that is widely utilized but less widely successful, forcing marketers who are looking for real, measurable results to hone their tactics. Review our list of seven ways to be a successful social marketer to help give you a leg up on the competition!

1. Build strong, targeted social media accounts.

Your social media accounts are only as useful as the friends and followers connected to them, making the first step of building those accounts absolutely crucial. Instead of simply working to obtain as many connections as possible, work instead to connect with like-minded people who are more likely to have an interest in what you have to offer.

A Beginner’s Guide to Conversion Goals in Google Analytics

A Beginner’s Guide to Conversion Goals in Google Analytics | Daily Magazine | Scoop.it

There’s a reason that when companies call me about SEO, Paid Search, or Social Advertising, we always end up speaking about Analytics as well. The reason is simple. If you don’t have a rounded analytics strategy, then you won’t have a solid understanding of how your campaigns perform. In addition, if you don’t have the mechanisms in place to easily see how visitor segments perform, then important questions could go unanswered. And that’s not good for enhancing your business.

Enter the Conversion Goal
Concepts in Web Analytics can get confusing. You have event tracking, conversion goals, success events, multi-channel funnels, profiles, filters, dimensions, regular expressions, etc. This is one of the reasons that too many companies slap a tracking code on their websites and call it a day. The problem is that an “out of the box” Google Analytics implementation will only get you so far. Sure, you’ll get the basics, but that won’t necessarily help you glean insights that can boost ROI.

Don’t Underestimate the Power of (Social) Collaboration. It Is Not a Given

Don’t Underestimate the Power of (Social) Collaboration. It Is Not a Given | Daily Magazine | Scoop.it

Ok, back to Social Business. After the last few days where I have been blogging a number of different times about some musings on redesigning and refining further along the workplace of the future, it’s time to get down to business again and continue to share further insights around social networking / computing for business or the good old Social Business itself.

By the way, stay tuned because very soon I will be putting together an article where I will explain why I’m going to move away from the social business concept into another one that I think is much more accurate and fitting in helping explain where we are today with the whole mantra behind Social. But till then, how about if one of these days you come to work and you bump into a rather controversial article, a superb read, actually, that questions the whole social business industry, right where it hurts the most: Social Networking for Business doesn’t count much on today’s CIO’s top priorities, after all. Disappointing or a huge opportunity? Both, eventually!

How To Get More Out of Triberr

How To Get More Out of Triberr | Daily Magazine | Scoop.it

Triberr’s Mantra

Triberr’s mantra (or mission statement, if you went to business school :-p ) is to help bloggers be succesful.

And to bloggers, “successful” means three things:

Content distribution Content generation Engagement

1. Content Distribution

This is where Triberr began.

Triberr enables bloggers to form tribes and effectively establish a long-term Tear 1 supporter networks.

Since everyone on Triberr is a blogger -and therefore audience builder- each share is worth much more than a share by your average Joe Facebook user. Gross generalization of course, but accurate for our purposes.

B2B Marketing & Pinterest: 5 Tips for Becoming the Ultimate Pinner

B2B Marketing & Pinterest: 5 Tips for Becoming the Ultimate Pinner | Daily Magazine | Scoop.it

Want the skinny on using Pinterest to promote your b2b marketing? Follow these five tips and kick-start your brand’s expansion into this emerging social media phenomenon.

1. Advertising and infographics rule the b2b marketing pins

Today, B2B marketers can get tons of great examples of award winning infographics and advertising campaigns on Pinterest. For that alone it’s an amazing resource. However, for other types of marketing, well, my fellow marketers, we have some work to do. Imagine a Pinterest page filled with pins of amazing fashion, inspirational interior design, stunning landscapes, and a screenshot of your low production value product demo video…um, it’s nice you have a presence, but how does that pin of a crappy screenshot of a crappy video look next to the rest of these other magnificent pins?
