How to make a great story so that your audience will tell you that "I'd Love to Hear Your Story"In this article, Wendy Kelly has shared with us :"Using data in storytelling adds that much more to your narrative. It takes time to integrate in, but the result is a story that is more refined and at the same time more grounded in reality. Based on facts and hard data, you can be sure that you're writing a non-fiction marketing story to engage your hero and make him into that ideal lifelong client/guest you've always hoped he would be."

Amie Mills: "When we’re talking about transmedia, we’re starting to use terms like story world, where you have many stories told using multiple media forms, across many different channels and platforms … and how that content lives and breathes is uniquely tailored to the platform you’re viewing it on." via Ben Fahy of StopPress

First of all, lets imagine that in the classroom the students will be able to handle this resource in order to increase their speaking and reading skills in one tool. I know that this is something utopian in our context not only because of the price of the product and the scarce technological resources that some schools face. However, this does not imply that the product can not be used.
Maybe, one day this kind of resources will be implemented here in Colombia.

V Renée: "No one knows storytelling quite like Pixar. Their films are entertaining on so many levels; they make us laugh, make us cry, and even make us want to become better filmmakers. But perhaps the greatest quality of a Pixar movie is its ability to move an audience, which is a direct result of the brain trust's aptitude for great storytelling."

Damien Lawardorn: "The real reason behind its creation [Scheherazade-IF], says Riedl, “is to probe the bounds of questions of how to get a computer to reason about, create, and understand narrative.” Given that humans are raised on stories, and make them a part of our everyday lives, Riedl’s goal is vital for any artificial intelligence if we want it to understand us."

But it's easy to see great potential in addition to procedural game world creation. So these vast world can be realistically populated.

The three Cs are: Characters – the importance of storyConvenience – the importance of getting the right content to the right people at the right timeCommunity – the importance of connecting fans and rewarding them.At the intersections we see the actions and functions we must support: Characters+Convenience – the personalization of the story experience for each person based on their relationship to the worldConvenience+Community – the continued “personalization” but in a broader sense as applied to audience segments. For example an audience team collaborates to unlock content that only they can see. Also at this intersection is the ability to share content and refer friends to the worldCommunity+Characters – this is the relationship between the community and the world. Creators should provide opportunities to strengthen the relationship through procedures and technology to allow fan contributions, character interactions and such like.

Seven steps to the perfect story is a great visual representation of how to build a story. This clearly explains the process of how students can construct their narrative and the types of characters they will use. I would definitely use this in my classroom to help students understand the process of creating a narrative. |
