In this article, we will learn about the built-in memory blocks of the Arduino prototyping platform. We will give particular emphasis on describing and understanding the basic operations of the different memory blocks on the Arduino, namely the Flash Memory, Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) and the Static Random Access Memory (SRAM). We will also address the architecture and physical design of memory, and what happens when memory runs out.
