I scooped this article because I have always believed that the wheels off change tend to spin slowly. In education, a "paradigm shift" is a cliche' often used to describe any new, profound idea. Yet, any change that occurs tends to be gradually implemented and getting everyone on board is a difficult and tedious process that simply requires time in most instances.

Good read... heres a quote from the article "Transforming Leadership is vision, planning, communication and creative action which has a positive underlying effect on a group of people around a clear set of values and beliefs, to accomplish a clear set of measurable goals. This transforming approach simultaneously impacts the personal development and corporate productivity of all involved."

Transactional managers treat employees like assets... things to be used. That mind set creates a demoralizing culture and a best a medicore company. Transformational leaders respect people, and it shows across all aspects of performance. |
