How can Web 2.0 tools help support UDL Principle 2: the "how" of learning? Here are just a few example on how wikis, podcasts and blogs can provide "muliple means of expression".
How can wikis help? > "Educators can post hyperlinks to demonstrations of multiple models of skilled performance > Educators and students alike can offer ongoing relevant feedback to student contributions; students can contribute/alter content anonymously and still receive relevant feedback"
How can podcasts help? > "Students can use podcasting and vodcasting to share what they know; these can be used as informal assessments (to guide educators in determining what to teach in the future) as well as for formal assessment"
How can blogs help? > "Students can use text, graphics, video, voice/sound files, and other easy-to-create electronic tools to interact with the material and “show what they know”"

Los podcast son herramientas para crear archivos de audio y distribuirlos vía Web con el objetivo de que los usuarios puedan escucharlos en el momento que quieran. Generalmente se pueden escuchar online o en un reproductor portátil (mp3 por ejemplo). Además, el podcasting permite la sindicación de los archivos de sonido, normalmente en formato MP3, con un sistema RSS, que permite suscribirse y descargarlos de forma automática y periódica, a través de los múltiples servicios gratuitos que se encuentran en Internet. El podcast tiene numerosas ventajas que a continuación describimos: - Se actualizan de manera automática: Una vez que un usuario se suscribe a un podcast, se recibe la siguiente entrega de manera automática. - Son portátiles: El usuario los descarga y puede escucharlo en cualquier lugar. (en el coche, en el gimnasio corriendo por la cinta, etc...) - A la carta: Los podcasts no tienen horarios, se pueden escuchar en cualquier lugar y momento, y puedes seleccionar los contenidos "a la carta".
