Employers added 467,000 jobs in January, far better than most analysts had predicted.

The US central bank will reduce its stimulus more rapidly, and expects to raise interest rates next year.
Graham Watson's insight:

The Federal Reserve has started to normalise monetary policy, by reducing its stimulus package, originally $120bn-a-month, by $30 billion per month, instead of the original $15bn per month. 

 

In addition, interest rates are also forecast to rise, from almost zero to somewhere close to 1% by the end of 2022. 

 

And then there's Omicron, which doesn't appear to have reached the US yet...
