The ancester of the violin. One octave lower and several centuries older. It almost disappeared because it was nearly unplayable. Is Jacques Dupriez the only person still to play it? True. This is actually a recent instrument, designed by Jacques Dupriez, in an attempt to modernize this ancester of today's violin. Well spotted!
